SPECIAL DRIVE FOR RECRUITMENT OF JUNIOR ASSOCIATES (CUSTOMER SUPPORT & SALES) FOR LADAKH UT INCLUDING LEH & KARGIL VALLEY (CHANDIGARH CIRCLE) (Advertisement No. CRPD/CR-SPLDRIVE/2024-25/23) ONLINE REGISTRATION OF APPLICATION AND PAYMENT OF FEES: 07.12.2024 TO 27.12.2024
The State Bank of India (SBI) invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre as part of a Special Recruitment Drive for Ladakh UT, covering Leh and Kargil Valley.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates can apply for this recruitment only once.
- Applicants must have proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in one of the specified local languages of Ladakh UT:
- Urdu
- Ladakhi
- Bhoti (Bodhi)
- Language Proficiency Test:
- A test to assess proficiency in the chosen local language will be conducted as part of the selection process.
- The test will be held after the candidate qualifies for the online Main examination and before joining the Bank.
- Candidates who fail to clear this test will not be considered for appointment.
- Those who provide a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet or certificate confirming they studied the specified local language will be exempt from this test.
- Transfer Policy:
- Candidates appointed as Junior Associates under this recruitment will not be eligible for Inter-Circle or Inter-State transfers.
Tentative Date of Main Examination
Preliminary Examination will be conducted tentatively in January 2025 and Main Examination will be conducted tentatively in February 2025. Important Notes :
Vacancies reserved for the OBC category are available to OBC candidates belonging to the ‘’Non-creamy layer’’. Candidates belonging to the OBC category but coming in ‘’CREAMY LAYER’’, are not entitled to any relaxation/ reservation available to the OBC category. They should indicate their category as General OR General (LD/ VI/ HI/ d&e).
OBC category candidates should submit the OBC certificate in a format prescribed by Govt. of India, having a “Non-Creamy Layer’’ clause issued during the period 01.04.2024 to the date of taking up the appointment, if selected.
Reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in recruitment is governed by Office Memorandum no. 36039/1/2019-Estt (Res) dt. 31.01.2019 of Department of Personnel & Training, Ministry of Personnel (DoPT), Public Grievance & Pensions, Government of India. iv. The benefit of reservation under the EWS category can be availed upon production of an ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ issued by a Competent Authority in the format prescribed by Govt. of India for the relevant financial year 2023-24 and valid for the year 2024-25 as per the extant DoPT guidelines.
EWS candidates are required to produce for verification, the ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ for the relevant financial year as per the extant DoPT guidelines, on the date of document verification, which shall be intimated to the provisionally selected candidates by the Bank. Hence, the ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ for the relevant financial year can be obtained by the candidate on or before the date of document verification.
No request for an extension of time for production of ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ beyond the said date shall be entertained and if a candidate fails to produce the ‘Income & Assets Certificate’ on the date of document verification, he/she will not be considered for appointment in the Bank for the post of Junior Associates (Customer Support & sales).
A caste certificate issued by a Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India will have to be submitted by the SC/ ST candidates, during document verification.
A person who wants to avail the benefit of reservation under section 34 of “The Right of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016” Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will have to submit the latest disability certificate issued by a Competent Authority as per the Government of India guidelines. Such certificate will be subject to verification/ re-verification as may be decided by the competent authority. The certificate should be dated on or before the last date ofapplication registrationn. viii. CHANGE OF CATEGORY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AT ANY STAGE AFTER REGISTRATION OF ONLINE APPLICATION.
Candidates who are working in the Clerical cadre of SBI are not eligible to apply for this project. Candidates who were earlier employed in the State Bank of India and resigned from the Bank while in a clerical cadre will also be not eligible to apply for the post.
Candidates against whom there is/ are adverse reports regarding character & antecedents, moral turpitude, etc. are not eligible to apply for the post.
Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks or NBFCs including credit card dues and have not regularized/repaid their outstanding thereunder till the date of issuance of letter of offer of appointment by the Bank, shall not be eligible for appointment to the post. However, candidates who have regularized/repaid such outstanding on or before the date of issuance of offer of appointment but whose CIBIL status has not been updated till then, shall, on or before the date of joining, have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from the lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer shall be withdrawn/canceled.
